In the Garden

Here it is. A shameful brag on my garden. When I talk about going out to pick tomatoes, this is how it looks!

If you forget to look under the leaves for a while, this is what an ignored zucchini looks like.

Don't know if it's going to be Choc Zucchini cake, soup, or bread.

These amaze me. they ripen even while buried inside the plant.

  1. Wow!! That's very impressive! I have... what's the opposite of green thumbs - brown thumbs? Whatever it is, if it's anything more than cut flowers, it dies. So I'm in awe of anyone who has even a small garden, let alone one that looks like yours!

"Choc zucchini cake"? Don't think that was in the book... can you share the recipe? :)

  4. Your Zucchini and Tomatoes look amazing...
I made the Carrot Soup (with zucchini) it was so easy and tasted so good...I can't wait to try the other soup recipes in your book!

  5. Your tomatoes did ALOT better than here in Tennessee. TOO much rain (flooded in May) and then it dried up. Lots of crops were ruined this year :( so now I have no homemade salsa. The okra, however, did GREAT. Picked a 8-10" one just yesterday. Funny thing is, I don't really like okra.

  6. How awesome!!! I wish I could do more than kill plants...I have a black thumb. I used to spend hours with my Grannie working on her garden, and sadly, none of her skill rubbed off on me. I am super jealous of you....well, even more so. I would love to be able to have a garden and share it with my children. *sigh* Thanks for sharing!! Always look forward to your updates. *love & hugs&
